Given the lack of any personal growth, self-insight or substantive remorse to be found in the pages of Alan Joyce’s memoir, it is quite wild that its objective was to relaunch his career. But as I’ve always said, the world looks very different through Alan’s enchanted spectacles.
Riding the Jet Stream was published back on July 28 – and I’ve been doing my utmost ever since to sell a few extra copies.
The very next day, on July 29, Joyce’s new consulting firm Venturi Advisory Pty Ltd was registered with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission.
Its four directors and equal shareholders are Joyce, former Qantas CFO and Jetstar CEO Gareth Evans, former QantasLink CEO John Gissing and Qantas’ notorious former general counsel Andrew Finch. Joyce is getting the band back together, because why mess with the perfect formula?
